Elen Guloyan was born into an armenian family of musicians. She received her primary musical education at the school for highly talented children SAYAT NOVA in Yerevan, later on she studied in Frankfurt am Main, with Ingrid Zur and Joerg Heyer.
Important for her professional career were Christoph Eschenbach and Valery Gergiev, who she both met at Schleswig Holstein Music Festival. Elen Guloyan was soloviolist of the Deutsche Staatstheater in Darmstadt, and after moving to Austria she became a member of the Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg.
As a chamber musician she was member of the Adorno Quartett Frankfurt and the EOS Trio.
She has also curated series of many wellknown festivals like Schleswig Holstein Festival, Attergau Festival, Campos do Jordao, Steirisches Kammermusikfestival, zum Carinthischen Sommer, Frutillar etc.
